Scarecrow Campaign

Want to see Scarecrow and Mrs. King on TV again?

Want to get episodes of Scarecrow and Mrs. King on tape/DVD?

What channel is SMK shown?

PAX TV. If you don't have PAX, then I'm sorry to hear that neither do I.

Where can I get copies of SMK?

If you want 2nd generation homemade snowy copies, then you're out of luck. Many people have asked if I or anybody I knew took on this task. I don't offer these services nor do I know if there's anybody willing to do it because people have never offered.

However, if you want to join other fans who want to see a "sharp picture" of Lee and Amanda on video uncut, it is possible if you write to Columbia House requesting episodes. I have Charlie's Angels on DVD and it's great. I hope it doesn't take another two years to release the next one like they did with the VHS series.

The Gilligan's Island fan club was successful in convincing Columbia House! Thanks to Peggy and another member on "The Facts of Life" mailing list for providing this information.
If you call or write-in to Columbia House Video requesting a boxed set of (your fav tv show) tapes, they will log it in. If they get enough requests for it, they might come out with a boxed set of tapes for the series!

The Gilligan's Island fan club (official) was responsible for getting Columbia House to put out the videos for that show. They wrote, called and sent in petitions. After the release of the first ten tapes (3 eps each, uncut, unedited), Columbia House said that was it and that was all they were going to do. Once again the fans wrote, called and sent in petitions and CH released the second set of ten tapes. Now the fans are at it again because they want the last set of tapes to complete the collection.

If you go to the Columbia House Home Page, and go to the classic TV section, you can fill out a survey. At the bottom, they give you a space to tell them what shows you would like to see in a collector's edition.
